Murakoshi Seiko is a 100-year-old manufacturer of hardware for furniture and interior decorating, as well as parts for automotive components. This is the design of the external reception room for a company that upholds “design management” in which products are developed based on a sense of the needs of the times. With its location in the rich nature of Yamanashi and the Yatsugatake Mountains visible from the windows as a borrowed landscape, the interior was designed using many natural materials. The design welcomes guests with kindness and surprise to serve as a guidepost to promote design thinking both inside and outside the company.
