Ecco Furniture Project Miyazaki, a local industry reconstruction project in Miyakonojo City, Miyazaki Prefecture
Development of new furniture using solid camphor wood, which was used as high-class wedding wardrobes. The laminated wood was made from scrap wood discarded in the furniture manufacturing process and was used to design furniture for the dining room. Since camphor wood has an uneven color and the smell of camphor is a turn-off for some people, we proposed a way to make furniture using wood that had been sitting in a warehouse unused, and designed cupboards, tables, chairs, and other items.
