Based on the concept that “freedom and expression can be created without limit by imposing certain restrictions,” eight designers designed playground equipment to be played with using a limited number of parts. HAMA beads, which are usually arranged flat and hardened by applying heat, were placed in a mold, and heated in an oven to create a three-dimensional shape, giving form to the idea of making a lighting fixture. The designers created a playful light by matching a myriad of tubular beads to create a heart shape and placing LEDs inside.
